Shimla is a cradle of storytelling. Narrating folktale is a part of culture. Every city has a tradition of savoring stories from the past. But this paradise of India holds pages that people always go through but never truly read.
We decided to discover and explore the parts and stories of Shimla that aren’t heard a lot. Every morning started with a fresh snowfall and a hot cup of kahwa. The snow-covered landscapes were nothing short of paradise. It is rightly said, Kashmir indeed is Heaven on earth and we glided our skies over the snow like pros, took a heritage tour in the downtown side, went hiking on a trail that remarks the remains of a historic temple, and more.
We lived with the Kashmiri and understood their struggles, and their means of survival and became a part of all the stories that kept their heritage alive and warm intact even in the minus temperatures.
